While the health benefits of chiropractic care are vast, chiropractic is a health care profession that primarily focuses on health of the musculoskeletal and nervous system.   Chiropractic treatment is most often sought to treat neuromusculoskeletal disorders and injuries.  The conditions treated include but are not limited to neck pain, back pain, pain in the joints of the arms and legs, and headaches.

Doctors of Chiropractic, also referred to as a chiropractic physicians, are trained to examine, diagnose and treat various disorders with drug-free, hands-on treatments.  Chiropractors provide a vital role in the health of your body with various treatments, including physical therapy, nutrition, and the “chiropractic adjustment.”  Also referred to as “spinal manipulation,” chiropractic adjustments restore the proper motion of joints when it is misaligned and/or loses its proper motion, a condition referred to as a “subluxation.”

For conditions such as low back pain, a chiropractic adjustment may be the primary treatment method.  Chiropractic treatment can be integrated with physical therapy and massage therapy for quicker recovery for certain conditions.

Jupiter chiropractic physician, Dr. Brandon Nevel, can use a variety of testing methods in order to determine if chiropractic care is medically necessary.  These methods may include clinical examination, x-ray, MRI, nerve tests, and lab testing.  If necessary, Dr. Nevel will refer patients to appropriate health care provider when the condition needs to be co-managed or if chiropractic is not recommended for the patient.
