Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (C.T.S.) is a condition when the median nerve becomes compressed in the wrist. Symptoms often include numbness and tingling into the thumb, index and middle fingers. Traditionally, many people get carpal tunnel syndrome from typing. Many people that apply pressure to the hands and wrists such as massage therapists, bicycle riders, and even chiropractors often developed carpal tunnel syndrome (C.T.S.).
Occasionally scar tissue adhesions can prevent the carpal tunnel from functioning properly. Specific chiropractic wrist adjustments and physical therapy modalities such as cold laser and the Graston Technique are great at removing scar tissue and myofascial adhesions that sometimes cause carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dr. Brandon Nevel has experience with carpal tunnel syndrome as a certified chiropractic extremities practitioner (CCEP) and sports chiropractor (CCSP). Many massage therapists and chiropractors from Jupiter and the Palm Beach area come to Dr. Nevel for carpal tunnel syndrome relief.
