Kinesiology Tape
Kinesiology tape is an elastic therapeutic tape used to supports the body’s natural movements with full range of motion. It can be used for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. In contrast to traditional athletic taping, Kinesiology tape does not restrict movement and lymphatic flow. The tape mimics the elasticity of skin and muscles and lifts the skin from the underlying muscles, creating more space for fascial connective tissue.
Kinesio Taping
The Kinesiology tape is cut specifically for the patient’s condition and stretched to different lengths depending on the desired result. The tape is applied over muscles and joints to support the correct movement pattern and posture.
Sport & Spinal Rehab uses a variety of kinesiology tapes depending on the condition. Many of our CrossFit athletes prefer to use our Rock Tape, which has a stronger adhesive for longer use. Kinesiology tape lasts about 3 days to support the correct movement and can increase the length of time needed between treatments.
Dr. Nevel has been certified by Rock Tape in Fascial Movement Taping 1 & 2 as well as numerous other taping techniques.
